China Fishery looks to extend year-end results deadline to Feb. 28

By Caroline Salls

Pittsburgh, Dec. 28 – China Fishery Group Ltd. applied for an extension of its Singapore Exchange Securities Trading Ltd. deadline for announcing its results for the financial year ended Sept. 28, according to a news release.

Specifically, the company asked the exchange to extend the deadline to Feb. 28 from Dec. 28.

China Fishery said “the matters relating to the provisional liquidation of the company and China Fisheries International Ltd., a subsidiary of the company, are in a state of flux. This causes uncertainty in the basis of assessment of carrying amount of certain assets and liabilities.”

China Fishery is a Hong Kong-based manager and operator of fishing vessels for coastal and deep sea industrial fishing.
