Fitch assigns A- to Chile bond

Fitch Ratings said it assigned an A- rating to Chile's unidad de fomento (UF; purchase price UF exchange rate: $38.62 per UF1) 24 million sustainability-linked bond maturing Oct. 1, 2039. The bond has a coupon of 3.4%.

The bond is tied to sustainability performance targets related to Chile's greenhouse gas emissions reduction and a rise in the number of women on company boards.

“The bond rating is in line with Chile's A- long-term local currency issuer default rating (IDR) and stable rating outlook, which Fitch affirmed on July 19, 2023,” the agency said in a press release.
