Charles Schwab files automatic shelf covering debt, preferreds, stock

Knoxville, Tenn., Dec. 15 - Charles Schwab Corp. filed an automatic shelf registration in an S-3 ASR filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission.
The registration covers debt securities, preferred stock, depositary shares, common stock, purchase contracts, warrants and units.
The securities may be structured as convertibles.
Proceeds will be used for general corporate purposes.
The brokerage and financial services company is based in San Francisco.
