London-based company says proceeds are to be used as working capital

Knoxville, Tenn., Jan. 26 - Chalkwell Investments plc said it has settled a private placement of shares. The deal raised £1 million.
The company sold 2,222,223 ordinary shares at 45p each. The per-share price is a 25% discount to the Jan. 25 closing share price of 60p.
Proceeds will be used as working capital.
Chalkwell is an investment company based in London.
