Moody's rates CenturyLink notes Ba2

Moody's Investors Service said it assigned a Ba2 (LGD5, 85%) rating to CenturyLink Inc.'s proposed offering of series V notes.

Consequently, Moody's raised CenturyLink's speculative grade liquidity rating to SGL-3 from SGL-4.

The company's other ratings and stable outlook remain unchanged.

The proceeds from the notes offering are expected to be used to repay a portion of the debt outstanding under its $2 billion revolving credit facility, to repay the $176 million series O notes maturing on April 1, 2013, and for other general corporate purposes.
