Moody's rates Central-European International Bank deposits Aa1

Moody's Investors Service said it assigned A1 long- and P-1 short-term local-currency bank deposit ratings to Central-European International Bank Ltd. and affirmed its bank financial strength rating at C-.

The outlook is stable.

The new ratings were assigned following the application of the agency's refined joint default analysis methodology, which incorporates the potential for external support into a bank's local-currency deposit rating. Under the refined methodology, assumptions about external support levels were reduced in order to give greater weight to banks' intrinsic financial strength in the final rating outcome.
