CenterPoint Energy to pay additional interest on 2% ZENS

By Angela McDaniels

Seattle, Aug. 8 - CenterPoint Energy, Inc. said it will pay an additional $1.8807156 of interest for each of its 2% zero-premium exchangeable subordinated notes due 2029 (ZENS).

The additional interest will be paid on Aug. 22 to holders of record as of Aug. 8, according to a company news release.

The Houston-based energy delivery company said the additional interest reflects the amount of cash being distributed to the reference shares attributable to each ZENS in connection with the settlement of the 2002 AOL Time Warner, Inc. securities and ERISA class action litigation.
