Moody's: Aegon view negative

Moody's Investors Service said it affirmed the A2 senior debt rating of Aegon NV and revised the outlook to negative from stable. The short-term ratings were affirmed.

The affirmations reflect the agency's view that the recently announced €3 billion capital injection by the Dutch state provides a substantial buffer to the group, according to the agency.

The negative outlook reflects the risk that losses and impairments could exceed expectations, Moody's noted.
