S&P changes C&D view to negative

S&P said it revised the outlook for C&D Technologies Inc. to negative from stable.

“The negative outlook reflects uncertainty around C&D’s earnings and cash flow generation as a result of the global pandemic and current economic downturn. We believe recessionary pressures could jeopardize the company's ability to meaningfully improve its operating performance and strain an already elevated leverage profile,” S&P said in a press release.

The agency affirmed C&D’s B- rating.
