Trinity Regional Hospital gets extension of exclusive plan periods

Olympia, Wash., March 18 – Sunland Medical Foundation, which does business as Trinity Regional Hospital Sachse, secured an extension of its exclusive periods to file and solicit votes on a Chapter 11 plan, according to an order filed Friday with the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the Northern District of Texas.

Specifically, the court extended the exclusive plan filing period through April 26 from Feb. 26 and the exclusive solicitation period through June 24 from April 25.

The company said that now that its sale process has concluded, it can focus on finalizing a plan that will address its creditors.

“The debtors believe the extension of the exclusive periods will provide sufficient time within which the debtors can work with their stakeholders to finalize a plan,” the company said in the motion.

The Sachse, Tex.-based hospital filed bankruptcy on Aug. 29, 2023 under Chapter 11 case number 23-80000.
