San Luis Obispo, Calif., Dec. 13 - AdvisorShares Trust gave details in a 497 filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission about its new investment-grade fund, the AdvisorShares Sage Core Reserves ETF.

The fund seeks to preserve capital while maximizing income by investing in a variety of fixed-income securities, including bonds, forwards and instruments issued by U.S. and foreign issuers. The fund will invest in dollar-denominated investment-grade debt securities. The dollar-weighted average portfolio maturity of the fund is not expected to exceed three years.

Mark C. MacQueen and Thomas H. Urano are the portfolio managers. Both are employed by subadviser Sage Advisory Services, Ltd. Co.

Shares of the fund will trade on the NYSE Arca under the ticker symbol "HOLD."

There are no shareholder fees. Including management fees of 0.3%, and taking into account the effects of a fee waiver agreement, total annual fund operating expenses are expected to be 0.35%.

Bethesda, Md.-based AdvisorShares Investments, LLC will serve as the investment adviser.
