AdvisorShares Peritus High Yield ETF options now trading on CBOE

By Toni Weeks

San Diego, Dec. 31 - AdvisorShares announced in a press release that AdvisorShares Peritus High Yield ETF options are now listed for trading on the Chicago Board Options Exchange.

The fund (NYSE: HYLD) is the first high-yield actively managed exchange-traded fund that has met CBOE listing requirements, the release noted.

According to the release, CBOE requirements for listing options includes possessing a certain number of outstanding shares owned by a minimum number of shareholders to prevent the security being too highly concentrated.

"We believe HYLD is at a competitive advantage, as its options provide a feature that actively managed mutual funds can't afford, as well as its ability to invest in larger high-yield bond tranches than other ETFs," chief executive officer Noah Hamman said in the release. "Having HYLD meeting CBOE listing requirements further reinforces the continuing growth and interest by investors in actively managed ETFs."

Bethesda, Md.-based AdvisorShares is a provider of actively managed ETFs.
