Structurlam Mass Timber names Mercer winning bidder for assets

Olympia, Wash., May 26 – Structurlam Mass Timber U.S., Inc. named Mercer International Inc. the winning bidder for its assets following an auction held Wednesday, according to a notice filed with the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the District of Delaware.

Mercer, the stalking hose bidder for the assets, submitted an $83.5 million bid.

Weyerhaeuser Co.’s $80 million bid was named the backup bid.

The sale hearing is scheduled for May 30.

The debtor is a manufacturer of mass timber solutions and has headquarters in Penticton, B.C. The company filed Chapter 11 bankruptcy on April 21 under case number 23-10497.
