New Issue: Brazil’s Afya issues R$500 million five-year debentures

Columbus, Ohio, Dec. 16 – Afya Ltd. issued R$500 million non-convertible debentures maturing Jan. 15, 2028 through its wholly owned subsidiary, Afya Participacoes SA, with a coupon of CDI plus 180 basis points in the Brazilian market, according to a news release.

The principal amount is to be amortized in two equal installments payable on Jan. 15, 2027 and Jan. 15, 2028.

The company plans to use proceeds for general corporate purposes, strengthening its cash position and extending its debt maturity profile.

The medical education group is based in Nova Lima, Brazil.
