Moody’s gives Baa3 to Interbank notes

Moody's Investors Service said it assigned the planned subordinated tier 2 notes to be sold by Banco Internacional del Peru SAA (Interbank) a Baa3 long-term global foreign-currency subordinated note rating. Interbank plans to sell $300 million of 10-year notes.

“The Baa3 rating assigned to the proposed subordinated notes is positioned one notch below Interbank's baa2 adjusted baseline credit assessment (adjusted BCA) and is in line with Moody's standard notching guidance for plain vanilla subordinated debt rating,” the agency said in a press release.

The outlook remains negative.
