Madison Square Boys & Girls Club requests exclusivity through April

Chicago, Dec. 29 – Madison Square Boys & Girls Club, Inc. is requesting a further extension to its plan exclusivity period, to April 10 from Jan. 10, according to a filing in the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the Southern District of New York.

The debtor is also seeking to extend its solicitation exclusivity period to July 24, an additional 90 days.

The extra time will give the debtor enough time to work with the official committee of unsecured creditors to implement the terms of the committee settlement in a confirmable plan of reorganization.

In a separate docket entry, a mediator filed a report that mediation was ending as the committee and the debtor had reached agreement.

A hearing regarding the extensions will be held Jan. 12.

The New York-based non-profit after-school program provider filed Chapter 11 bankruptcy on June 29 under case number 22-10910.
