Ector County Energy wants more time to submit assets and liabilities

Chicago, May 4 – Ector County Energy Center LLC asked for a three-day extension to submit its schedules of assets and liabilities and statement of its financial affairs, according to a filing on Wednesday with the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the District of Delaware.

The company is simultaneously in the process of responding to discovery served by its largest creditor, Direct Energy Business Marketing LLC, and otherwise preparing for the hearing on May 9.

The company would like to extend the due date for the schedules and statement to May 12.

Goldsmith, Tex.-based Ector owns and operates a 330 MW natural gas-fired electricity-generating facility. The company filed Chapter 11 bankruptcy on April 11 under case number 22-10320.
