Fitch rates Syngenta Group A

Fitch Rating said it published Syngenta Group Co., Ltd.'s long-term foreign-currency issuer default rating of A and senior unsecured rating of A.

“Fitch rates Syngenta Group on a top-down basis under its parent and subsidiary linkage rating criteria. This reflects the high operational and strategic incentives to provide support from the ultimate parent, Sinochem Holdings Corp. Ltd., through Syngenta Group's intermediate parent, China National Chemical Corp. Ltd. (ChemChina, A/stable). Syngenta Group is the parents' most important subsidiary as it controls the group's entire agrochemical businesses,” the agency said in a press release.

The outlook is stable, which the agency said indicates its expectation that linkages between Sinochem Holdings, ChemChina and Syngenta will stay strong.
