Des Moines, May 30 - Candente Resource Corp. upsized a previously announced private placement of shares to C$11,120,831 from C$9 million. Its other planned private placement of shares remains unchanged at C$6 million.
The company said it increased the deal size in response to investor demand.
Both offerings will consist of common shares at C$1.30 each.
The larger placement will not include units, although it was expected to when it was announced on May 14.
Both placements are part of a larger global offering of common shares. The size of the larger deal is capped at 25% of Candente's issued shares immediately before closing.
A syndicate led by Westwind Partners Inc. and including Raymond James Ltd. will act as agents for the C$11,120,831 deal.
Credibolsa SAB SA, Candente's sponsor in Peru, will act as agent for the C$6 million offering.
Proceeds will be used for exploration and development and for general corporate purposes.
Settlement of the global offering is expected on June 7.
Candente is a copper and gold exploration company based in Vancouver, B.C.
