S&P gives Constellation notes BBB+

S&P said it assigned its BBB+ issue-level rating to Constellation Energy Generation LLC's (CEG) planned $900 million of senior unsecured notes due 2054.

The rating is in line with those of CEG’s outstanding senior unsecured notes.

The company plans to use the proceeds for eligible green projects. “While this financing is not leverage neutral and will increase CEG's long-term debt position, it is consistent with our expectations for its financial measures through 2025,” S&P said in a statement.

The outlook is stable.
