Canadian Solar secures ¥9.6 billion solar project financing facility

Norfolk, Va., Oct. 13 – Canadian Solar Inc. wholly owned subsidiary Canadian Solar Projects KK entered into a ¥9.6 billion ($95 million) three-year syndicated loan facility, according to a press release.

Sumitomo Mitsui Banking Corp. is the lead arranger.

Proceeds will be used to finance solar project development in Japan and general corporate working capital requirements.

Canadian Solar is a solar power company based in Guelph, Ont.
