New Issue: CIBC sells $1.24 million contingent coupon phoenix autocallables on Russell, Stoxx, S&P

By Wendy Van Sickle

Columbus, Ohio, May 11 – Canadian Imperial Bank of Commerce priced $1.24 million of contingent coupon phoenix autocallable notes due May 11, 2022 linked to the worse performing of the S&P 500 index, the Russell 2000 index and the Euro Stoxx 50 index, according to a 424B2 filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission.

The notes will pay a contingent quarterly coupon at an annual rate of 6% if each index closes at or above its 65% coupon barrier on the observation date for that period.

The notes will be called at par if each index closes at or above its initial level on any valuation date other than the first and final dates.

The payout at maturity will be par plus the contingent coupon unless any index finishes below its 50% principal barrier level, in which case investors will be fully exposed to the decline of the worst performing index.

Janney Montgomery Scott is the underwriter.
