Sendas Distribuidora has approval for R$250 million of debentures

Chicago, March 7 – Brazil’s Sendas Distribuidora SA has the approval of its board of directors to issue up to R$250 million of non-convertible debentures, according to a 6-K filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission.

The fifth issuance of debentures by the company will be issued on March 28.

The maturity date will be March 28, 2025.

Proceeds will be used by the company to reimburse expenses and expenditures incurred by the company related to the expansion and/or maintenance of certain properties.

The notes are redeemable starting Sept. 29, 2023 with a premium of 35 basis points per year for the remaining term.

The notes will be sold without a discount, i.e., at par.

Sendas Distribuidora is a Rio de Janeiro-based supermarket chain.
