S&P rates Campeche mxA

Standard & Poor's said it assigned its mxA national scale rating and stable outlook to the State of Campeche, United Mexican States.

According to S&P credit analyst Paulina Campos, Campeche's rating is supported by a solid budgetary performance, conservative management policies, and a low debt burden.

"The stable outlook reflects Standard & Poor's expectation that Campeche will maintain a balanced budget structure and conservative debt management policies," Campos said. "Positive economic growth prospects should help sustain future revenue growth, which, in turn, should help maintain double-digit operating balances despite the new anticipated debt."
