Express Grain gets approval to sell facilities to UMB for $25 million

Olympia, Wash., April 12 – Express Grain Terminals, LLC received court approval to sell its Mississippi facilities in Sidon, Greenwood and Minter City, to secured lender UMB Bank, NA for $25 million under a credit bid, according to an order filed Monday with the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the Northern District of Mississippi.

UMB was the highest bidder at a Feb. 25 auction for the facilities.

The sale is expected to close no later than April 14.

Greenwood, Miss.-based Express Grain Terminals is an agricultural processing and marketing company. It filed bankruptcy on Sept. 29 under Chapter 11 case number 21-11832.
