Chile’s Alfa Desarrollo offers 30-year bonds talked in low 5% area; up to $1.2 billion on tap

Chicago, Sept. 9 – Alfa Desarrollo SpA is in the market with an up to $1.2 billion offering of 30-year notes (Baa3/BBB-), based on information from a market source and additional details from Moody’s Investors Service.

The notes due Sept. 27, 2051 are being talked in the low 5% area.

Citigroup. JPMorgan, Santander and SMBC are handling the Rule 144A and Regulation S offering.

The company will use the proceeds to partially fund the acquisition of Colbun SA's transmission assets in Chile and to pay transaction fees and expenses.

Chile’s Alfa Desarrollo is a consortium led by Dutch pension fund APG Energy and Infra Investments.
