Calpine plans to repay some term loan borrowings with notes proceeds

New York, July 20 - Calpine Corp. plans to repay a portion of its term loan with proceeds from a $1.1 billion senior secured notes offering, according to a news release.

Calpine is a Houston-based power generation company.
