Calpine to pay down some term loan borrowings with note proceeds

New York, Oct. 18 - Calpine Corp. plans on repaying a portion of its term loan debt using proceeds from a senior secured note offering, according to a news release.

The size of the note offering is still to be determined.

Calpine is a Houston-based power generation company.
