Kingswood Senior Living has final decree to close Chapter 11 case

Chicago, April 27 – The final decree has been issued closing the Chapter 11 case for Kansas City United Methodist Retirement Home, Inc., which does business as Kingswood Senior Living Community, according to a notice of final decree from the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the Western District of Missouri.

The final decree was only waiting for the fees to be paid to Region 13 U.S. trustee Daniel J. Casamatta.

The trustee notified the court that a check had been received on Tuesday afternoon and a final decree was issued soon thereafter closing the case.

Kingswood Senior Living Community is a Kansas City, Mo.-based owner and operator of a continuing care retirement community. The company filed bankruptcy on Aug. 18, 2021 under Chapter 11 case number 21-41049.
