Former LRGHealthcare requests another extension of exclusive periods

By Sarah Lizee

Olympia, Wash., Oct. 8 – HGRL, formerly LRGHealthcare, is seeking another extension of its exclusive periods to file and solicit votes on a Chapter 11 plan, according to a motion filed Friday with the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the District of New Hampshire.

Specifically, the company asked the court to extend the plan filing period through Jan. 13 and the solicitation period through March 14.

The company has filed a plan already, as previously reported. The combined hearing on approval of the disclosure statement and confirmation of the plan is scheduled for Nov. 1.

HGRL said that although it believes the plan is viable, it is seeking an extension of exclusivity in case the plan is not confirmed or the debtor needs to propose an alternative plan.

LRGHealthcare is a Laconia, N.H.-based not-for-profit health care charitable trust operating Lakes Region General Hospital, Franklin Regional Hospital and several other affiliated medical practices and service programs. The company filed Chapter 11 bankruptcy on Oct. 19, 2020 under case number 20-10892.
