Elastic starts roadshow for $500 million eight-year notes; initial talk high-4% to 5% area

Portland, Ore., June 28 – Elastic NV started a roadshow on Monday for a $500 million offering of eight-year senior notes, according to market sources.

Initial guidance has the notes coming to yield in the high-4% to 5% area.

J.P. Morgan Securities LLC is leading the offering.

The notes come with three years of call protection.

The Mountain View, Calif.-based search company plans to use the proceeds for general corporate purposes, including capital expenditures and investments, as well as for working capital, possible acquisitions and strategic transactions.
