Entrust Energy eyes 63-day extension of exclusive solicitation period

By Sarah Lizee

Olympia, Wash., Nov. 29 – Entrust Energy, Inc. is seeking an extension of its exclusive period to solicit votes on a Chapter 11 plan by 63 days through Jan. 31, according to a motion filed Wednesday with the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the Southern District of Texas.

As previously reported, the company has received conditional approval of the disclosure statement for its Chapter 11 plan.

The company is now in the process of soliciting votes on the plan and proceeding toward the combined confirmation and disclosure hearing scheduled for Dec. 20. Entrust said it needs the additional time in order to continue this process.

Entrust Energy is a Houston-based retail power provider. The company filed bankruptcy on March 30, 2021 under Chapter 11 case number 21-31070.
