MobiTV asks court for 60-day extension of exclusive plan periods

By Sarah Lizee

Olympia, Wash., Aug. 26 – MobiTV, Inc. is seeking a 60-day extension of its exclusive periods to file and solicit votes on a Chapter 11 plan, according to a motion filed Thursday with the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the District of Delaware.

Specifically, the company asked the court to extend the plan filing period through Oct. 29 and the solicitation period through Dec. 29.

As previously reported, the company and the official committee of unsecured creditors filed a Chapter 11 plan, and a confirmation hearing is scheduled for Sept. 22.

“The debtors file this motion in an abundance of caution should the plan not be confirmed,” the company said in its motion.

MobiTV is an Emeryville, Calif.-based provider of live and on-demand video delivery solutions. The company filed bankruptcy on March 1 under Chapter 11 case number 21-10457.
