MobiTV receives exclusivity extension to continue negotiations

By Sarah Lizee

Olympia, Wash., July 8 – MobiTV, Inc. secured an extension of its exclusive periods to file and solicit votes on a Chapter 11 plan, according to an order filed Thursday with the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the District of Delaware.

Specifically, the court extended the plan filing period through Aug. 30 and the solicitation period through Oct. 29.

MobiTV said in its motion that the debtors have been making steady and material progress in their Chapter 11 cases and are on pace to efficiently complete the administration of the cases for the benefit of all stakeholders.

“Notwithstanding this tremendous progress, the debtors are not in a position to propose a plan at this time,” the company said in its motion.

“Accordingly, the debtors request an extension of the exclusivity periods to allow the debtors to continue their negotiations with key stakeholders to move these Chapter 11 cases expeditiously along to an ultimate plan confirmation.”

MobiTV is an Emeryville, Calif.-based provider of live and on-demand video delivery solutions. The company filed bankruptcy on March 1 under Chapter 11 case number 21-10457.
