Fitch lowers Byblos Bank, ratings on negative watch

Fitch Ratings said it downgraded Byblos Bank SAL to CCC- from CCC.

The agency also put the bank on ratings watch negative.

Fitch cited increasing political tension and social unrest in Lebanon for the downgrade and ratings watch placement.
