Burrill adds Streiler as principal for alternative equities group

San Diego, June 3 - Burrill & Co. said it has appointed Darren N. Streiler as principal for its Burrill alternative equities group, according to a news release.

Streiler's role will be to help with the analyzing, structuring and underwriting of transactions as well as to engage clients for the group. He joins the company with more than 13 years of investment experience, most recently as an analyst for HighMark Capital Management Inc., where he was part of a team that actively managed two fundamental funds. Prior to that, he worked as a health care investments consultant for Caxton Associates LP and health care analyst for SAC Capital Advisors, LP.

Streiler earned his bachelor's degree in finance from Boston College and his MBA from the University of California at Berkeley.

Burrill is a San Francisco financial services firm focusing on the life science industry.
