Burlington Northern files automatic shelf covering debt securities

Knoxville, Tenn., May 12 - Burlington Northern Santa Fe Corp. filed a debt securities automatic shelf registration in an S-3-ASR filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission.

Proceeds will be used for general corporate purposes.

The railroad transportation company is based in Fort Worth, Texas.
