Buenos Aires plans to issue $300 million in new debt

By Reshmi Basu

New York, Aug. 14 - The Province of Buenos Aires plans to sell about $300 million in new debt in September, according to a market source.

Buenos Aires will issue the bonds due to declining public accounts and in response to the sovereign government's lack of initiative to restructure the province's debt or to lend it money.

The issue is expected to be denominated in dollars and carry a tenor of 10 years.
