D.E. Shaw secures $200 million for Big River solar power project

Knoxville, Tenn., May 27 – D.E. Shaw Renewable Investments obtained an approximately $200 million financing from CIT Group Inc.’s Power and Energy segment, according to a press release from CIT.

Proceeds will fund the 149-megawatt Big River solar power project in White County, Ill.

D.E. Shaw Renewable is part of the D. E. Shaw Group, a global investment and technology development firm with more than $55 billion in investment capital.
