Klausner Lumber Two receives two-month exclusivity extension

By Sarah Lizee

Olympia, Wash., Oct. 12 – Klausner Lumber Two, LLC secured another extension of its exclusive periods to file and solicit votes on a Chapter 11 plan, according to an order filed Tuesday with the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the District of Delaware.

Specifically, the court extended the plan filing period through Dec. 10 from Oct. 10 and the solicitation period through Feb. 10, 2022 from Dec. 10.

The company said in its motion that mediation was scheduled between the official committee of unsecured creditors and Carolina Sawmills with former judge Kevin Gross in early October.

Klausner said it was hopeful that the mediation will result in an amicable resolution of Carolina Sawmills’ claims, thereby facilitating the debtor’s efforts for a consensual plan process.

Klausner Lumber Two is an Enfield, N.C., sawmill and lumber company. The company filed bankruptcy on June 10, 2020 under Chapter 11 case number 20-11518.
