BTIG adds Heaney, Delauney, Cantor to structured product business

Los Angeles, Feb. 8 – BTIG announced several key hires to enhance the firm’s structured product business within its fixed income, currency and commodities division. Christopher Heaney and Jamarr Delauney have joined BTIG as managing directors, and David Cantor has joined the firm as a director, according to a press release.

Heaney, Delauney and Cantor will report to Alejandro Feely, managing director and head of structured products.

Prior to BTIG, Heaney was a managing director within fixed income at Keybanc Capital Markets. Previously, Heaney was a managing director within fixed income at Amherst Securities and held a similar role at Jefferies. Earlier in his career, he was a senior managing director within fixed income at Bear, Stearns & Co.

Before joining BTIG, Delauney was a managing director within loan and structured products trading at Cross Point Capital. Previously, Delauney was a senior managing director within securitized products at Helios Strategic Advisors and was an executive director within commercial mortgage-backed securities trading at UBS. Earlier, he was a vice president within commercial mortgage-backed securities trading at Credit Suisse.

Prior to BTIG, Cantor was a director of fixed income capital markets within institutional sales and trading at Janney Montgomery Scott. Previously, Cantor was director of sales within the institutional group at Performance Trust. Before that, he was director of securitized products sales at Credit Suisse.

BTIG’s structured product sales, trading and strategy professionals are focused on secondary trading as well as facilitating new issue for a wide range of products and client segments including banks, hedge funds, institutional money managers, insurance providers and more.
