Klausner Lumber One secures exclusivity extension to finalize plan

By Sarah Lizee

Olympia, Wash., Jan. 13 – Klausner Lumber One, LLC obtained a two-month extension of its exclusive periods to file and solicit votes on a Chapter 11 plan, according to an order filed Wednesday with the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the District of Delaware.

Specifically, the court extended the plan filing period through Feb. 28 from Dec. 28 and the solicitation period through May 1 from March 1.

Since the closing of the sale of the company’s assets, the company has focused on winding down its remaining operations and affairs, the motion said.

The company said it has been working closely with the creditors’ committee in preparing a joint Chapter 11 plan, which the parties are in the process of finalizing. Klausner expects to be able to file the plan within the next couple of weeks.

Klausner is a Live Oak, Fla.-based lumber company. The company filed bankruptcy on April 30, 2020 under Chapter 11 case number 20-11033.
