Brookstone talks $190 million seven-year notes at 10¼%-10½%; pricing Thursday

St. Louis, Sept. 20 - Brookstone Inc. has talked its $190 million offering of seven-year senior notes at 10¼% to 10½%, according to an informed source.

Pricing is expected on Thursday.

Goldman Sachs & Co. has the books for the Rule 144A offering. UBS Investment Bank is the co-manager.

The notes, which come with four years of call protection, are rated B3 by Moody's Investors Service and are rated B by Standard & Poor's.

Proceeds will be used to finance the leveraged buyout of the company by Osim International, J.W. Childs Associates and Temasek Holding Ltd.

Brookstone is a Merrimack, N.H., product developer and specialty retail company.
