Brooke unsecured creditors elect three-member committee

New York, Aug. 6 - Brooke Corp.'s unsecured creditors elected an official committee Monday, according to a filing Wednesday by U.S. Trustee Richard A. Wieland with the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the District of Kansas.

The committee members are Roger Cunningham of RKC Financial, Euless, Texas; Mahesh Bhatia of Addison Low Cost/Addison York, San Francisco; and Brett C. Coonrod of Low Cost Insurance Services, Inc., Overland Park, Kan.

Brooke, a holding company for insurance and banking services distribution companies based in Overland Park, Kan., filed for bankruptcy on Oct. 28, 2008. Its Chapter 11 case number is 08-22786.
