Bar Louie obtains extension of exclusive plan-filing period

By Sarah Lizee

Olympia, Wash., June 22 – BL Restaurants Holding LLC, which operates as Bar Louie, obtained an extension of its exclusive periods for filing and soliciting votes on a Chapter 11 plan, according to an order filed Monday with the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the District of Delaware.

Specifically, the court extended its exclusive plan-filing period by 90 days through Sept. 3 and the solicitation period through Nov. 2.

According to the motion, now that the sale of substantially all of its assets is nearing completion, the company said it has turned its attention to plan formulation.

“The debtors, along with the other constituencies in these cases, have made significant progress toward the resolution of the outstanding issues in these cases and will continue to work together to effectuate a liquidating plan,” the motion said.

Bar Louie said its sale process resulted in the successful liquidation of substantially all of its assets and will lead to a liquidating plan to wind down the estate.

A hearing is scheduled for June 24.

Bar Louie is an Addison, Tex.-based gastropub operator. The company filed bankruptcy on Jan. 27 under Chapter 11 case number 20-10156.
