S&P may lift Brno

Standard & Poor's said it revised the outlook on the city of Brno to positive from stable and affirmed the A- long-term and A-2 short-term issuer credit ratings.

The city's strong operating performance, good liquidity position and stabilizing debt burden support ratings, the agency said.

Concerns include relatively high debt, with bullet maturities and foreign exchange exposure, limited systemic revenue and expenditure flexibility, and continuing high capital expenditures, the agency noted.
