Moriah Powder River files bankruptcy case to negotiate with lenders

Pittsburgh, Nov. 1 – Moriah Powder River, LLC filed Chapter 11 bankruptcy on Thursday in the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the District of Wyoming.

The company said in a resolution filed with the court that it will continue negotiations with lenders to reach a settlement of outstanding claims.

According to court documents, Moriah has $100 million to $500 million in assets and $50 million to $100 million of debt.

No other details on the case had been filed as of late Friday afternoon.

Markus Williams Young & Zimmermann LLC is representing Moriah Powder River in its bankruptcy proceedings.

Moriah Powder River is a Denver-based oil and natural gas exploration and production company. The Chapter 11 case number is 19-20699.
