Murray Energy records $32.45 million loss from operations for March

Pittsburgh, May 1 – Murray Energy Holdings Co. posted a $32.45 million loss from operations for March on $125.24 million in total revenue, according to its monthly operating report filed Thursday with the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the Southern District of Ohio.

In comparison, Murray posted a $30.09 million loss from operations for February on $114.19 million in total revenue.

The net loss for March was $132.25 million, widening from a $74.24 million February net loss.

In addition, Murray listed $150.9 million in cash and cash equivalents as of March 31, down from $202.72 million at the end of February.

Murray Energy is a Saint Clairsville, Ohio, coal company. The company filed bankruptcy on Oct. 29, 2019 under Chapter 11 case number 19-56885.
