Murray Energy sees $30.09 million loss from operations for February

Pittsburgh, March 31 – Murray Energy Holdings Co. posted a $30.09 million loss from operations for February on $114.19 million in total revenue, according to its monthly operating report filed Monday with the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the Southern District of Ohio.

Those figures showed a decline from the $16.08 million loss from operations reported for January on $127.45 million in total revenue.

The net loss for February was $74.24 million, widening from a $66.08 million January net loss.

In addition, Murray listed $202.72 million in cash and cash equivalents as of Feb. 29, down from $284.22 million at the end of January.

Murray Energy is a Saint Clairsville, Ohio, coal company. The company filed bankruptcy on Oct. 29 under Chapter 11 case number 19-56885.
