Murray Energy reports $16.08 million loss from operations for January

Pittsburgh, March 2 – Murray Energy Holdings Co. posted a $16.08 million loss from operations for January on $127.45 million in total revenue, according to its monthly operating report filed Sunday with the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the Southern District of Ohio.
In comparison, Murray reported a $30.87 million loss from operations for December on $159.25 million in total revenue.
The net loss for January was $66.08 million, narrowing from a $69.58 million December net loss.
In addition, Murray listed $284.22 million in cash and cash equivalents as of Jan. 31, down from $323.38 million at the end of December.
Murray Energy is a Saint Clairsville, Ohio, coal company. The company filed bankruptcy on Oct. 29 under Chapter 11 case number 19-56885.
